David Fincher’s the Game, finally coming to Criterion on September 25th. Featuring a restored digital transfer supervised by Fincher and Dir. of Photog. Harris Savides, audio commentary from Fincher, Savides, actor Michael Douglas, screenwriters John Brancato and Michael Ferris, digital animation supervisor Richard “Dr.” Baily, production designer Jeffrey Beecroft, visual effects supervisor Kevin Haug, and visual effects producer Robyn D’Arcy, as well as an hour’s worth of exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and film-to-storyboard comparisons for four of the film’s major set pieces, with commentary.
Can’t wait.
Criterion is also releasing Paul Bartel’s Eating Raoul (I first saw this as an 11 year old and it blew my fucking mind), Children of Paradise (one of the many classics that I’ve been meaning to see forever), and Umberto D (this broke my hearth when I saw it in college).
